How to make imposter syndrome your friend
It rears its head when we believe we haven’t legitimately achieved the position we’re in, that we don’t belong and that someday, someone will find us out and show us the door.
In my opinion, imposter syndrome is an overused term to describe what happens when you’re brave enough to leave the safety of your comfort zone behind. It’s no wonder you feel like an imposter because you’ll be most likely trying on a new version of yourself and behaving in a different way. And yet, how powerful is that?
The problem is that many women are scared of leaving their safety blanket behind and therefore miss out on the growth, power and freedom that come from embracing a continually challenging environment.
